UCD

I am a carrier of Ornithine Transcarbamylase Deficiency, a Urea Cycle Disorder.

I have had two children born and affected with this disorder.
Colin Isaac Babcock             December 18 to 20, 2003
Kyle Alexander Babcock     October 24 - November 8, 2011

I also had two brothers, a cousin, and an uncle born with this disorder.  All died at 3 days old, with the exception of Kyle (2011), who was being treated to save him from it.  He died of an E. Coli infection that turned septic while waiting for a liver transplant.
